Important information for Indigenous businesses exhibiting at the Indigenous Business Trade Fair

We are looking forward to seeing you at the Indigenous Business Trade Fair in Canberra on the lands of the Ngunnawal people.

If you are unable to exhibit, please advise us as soon as possible at events@supplynation.org.au.

Who will be exhibiting?

We are expecting 80+ exhibitors on the day.

You will receive the exhibitor list, prior to event day and Supply Nation’s Indigenous Business Direct database can be used to find contact details for each exhibitor.

We are unable to provide personal information or details of ticket holders.

Indigenous businesses must be registered or certified with Supply Nation to exhibit. 

Suppliers must have updated their Indigenous Business Direct profile in the last 12 months to exhibit.

What is included on the day:

  • 1 x trestle table (unclothed; suppliers are able to bring their own branded tablecloths)
  • 2 x chairs
  • Light morning tea and coffee
  • Loading dock access is available

What is not included:

  • Power is not available
  • Wi-Fi is not available
  • Lunch is not provided
  • Trolleys will not be available, please BYO

What can I bring?

Refer to images of previous Indigenous Business Trade Fairs on our Facebook page for ideas of how you can showcase your organisation or core business activities including any products, services or goods you offer or sell. Below are some additional suggestions:

  • Merchandise / promotional items / giveaways
  • Items to decorate your trestle table
  • Branded tablecloth
  • Pull-up banners (maximum two)
  • Printed marketing materials e.g. brochures, factsheets or capability statements
  • Water bottle
  • Small trolley / dolly (that can pack away under your table when not in use)
  • Branded t-shirts / uniforms or accessories

What time is bump-in?

7:30am – 8:30am: Bump-in and exhibitor check in.

9:00am: Trade Fair doors open to attendees. All exhibitors must be onsite and ready for trade.

What time is bump-out?

12:30pm – 2:00pm: You must start packing down once the Trade Fair ends and be offsite by 2:00pm.

Exhibitors must ensure that they make adequate arrangements for the removal of rubbish from their display at the conclusion of the bump-out period.

Loading dock access

Enter via London Circuit and drive down the ramp on your left.

To reverse into the loading dock, all trucks must be a maximum of 2.9m in height or shorter with a tailgate only. Alternatively, they can pull up on the side of the loading dock and unpack there.

Note: there is no long-term parking available in the loading dock. For any large trucks or vans, please find alternate parking offsite once all items are unloaded.

Delivery and collection of goods

QT Canberra will only accept delivery of goods during the three working days prior to the event and all goods must be collected within 24 hours after the event. For all items being sent via courier, please deliver to reception with the normal delivery label (here) on it as items will be stored together with any deliveries from couriers.
Note: If the items being hand delivered are not labelled correctly, QT Canberra will not accept these items.

Where can I park?

Paid parking is available at the QT Canberra Hotel at a discounted rate of $30 per vehicle for the day. Surrounding areas also contain two Wilsons Parking lots, located on Marcus Clark Street and Knowles Place Street.

Can I sell items on the day?

Yes. If you are intending to sell food and/or non-alcoholic beverages, you must follow the key information guidelines set out below to get approval from Supply Nation and QT Canberra. Full guide available here.

QT Canberra:

  • Follows a HACCP Program to ensure food safety by controlling suppliers and routinely checking their compliance
  • Reserves the right to reject or not serve any food or beverages deemed unsafe

Suppliers bringing food and non-alcoholic beverages must:

  • Meet strict conditions, including indemnifying QT Hotels and Resorts for any safety issues
  • Deliver Potentially Hazardous Foods under temperature controls
  • Comply with all legal requirements relating to the supplied product/s
  • Provide proof of Public Liability Insurance
  • Complete Form 34: Externally Sourced Food Items (here)
  • Complete Indemnity form (here) and comply with food handling procedures
  • Send all forms to events@supplynation.org.au by Wednesday 22 January 2025

Can I sample alcoholic beverages on the day?

Alcoholic beverages can be sampled but not sold during the trade fair. RSA certification is required for every person serving alcoholic drinks. Exhibitors are welcome to sell alcoholic beverages online and ship them post event. However, no physical bottles can be handed out from the trade show on the premises.

What if I can no longer attend?

Email us as soon as possible via email to events@supplynation.org.au if you cannot attend the Trade Fair. If someone in your team is unable to attend, we encourage you to swap the ticket with another colleague.

No-show and late cancellation consequences:

  • If you fail to notify us of your cancellation or do not attend the event, this will be recorded in our system. This may affect your eligibility to participate in future events and services.
  • Multiple cancellations without proper notice will result in reduced priority for future event participation, placing your business behind others on the waiting list.
