Supply Nation Welcomes New CEO

25 February 2013

Supply Nation wishes to announce our new Chief Executive Officer, Mr Charles Prouse.  Charles will join the Supply Nation team from the National Aboriginal Sporting Chance Academy (NASCA), where he has been CEO since March 2009. He will be commencing with Supply Nation on April 8, 2013.

NASCA is a wholly governed Indigenous non-profit organisation supporting Aboriginal students in completing their schooling, choosing healthy lifestyles and encouraging their aspirations.  In his four years with NASCA, Charles has transformed the Academy, delivering substantial growth in cash income from 2008 to 2012. He has led NASCA to significantly expand its staffing numbers, and has implemented innovative marketing, HR and fundraising strategies.

Charles' dedication and enthusiasm will enable Supply Nation to continue to grow and contribute to making Indigenous Australia a force in our economy. The organisation will retain its focus on achieving its mission, and maintaining a high standard of services for Members and Certified Suppliers.

Supply Nation Chairman, Stephen Roberts says: “The Supply Nation board wishes to formally welcome Charles. His experience will build upon what CEO Natalie Walker has  established, and continue to ensure that Indigenous businesses are embedded into the supply chains of corporate and government Australia."

Natalie will be leaving Supply Nation after four years to pursue opportunities in the United States.

“I would like to commend Natalie’s tremendous commitment to the growth of the Indigenous business sector. Supply Nation has evolved to become one of Australia’s leading players in supplier diversity, exceeding expectations with an impressive $48 million in transactions to date. This was made possible through Natalie’s dedication to enabling and connecting Indigenous enterprises and corporate partners. We wish Natalie all the very best with her future endeavours” Stephen said.

Supply Nation is recognised both nationally and internationally as a leader in Indigenous economic development. We look forward to welcoming our new CEO, and working with him toward the continued growth of a sustainable and vibrant Indigenous enterprise sector.
