BT Australasia is delighted to announce its new membership with Supply Nation.
Supply Nation is a simple and effective collaboration between Government, Corporate and Indigenous Australia. Supply Nation’s mission is to facilitate, encourage and promote business between these sectors and Indigenous owned businesses. The measure of our collective success will be in the value of transactions between our members and suppliers.
Based on the US National Minority Supplier Development Council (www.nmsdc.org), Supply Nation is the beginning of a transformation in the Indigenous business sector. Supply Nation, its founding members and Certified Indigenous business Suppliers aim to build a vibrant and prosperous Indigenous business sector by incorporating Indigenous owned, controlled and managed businesses into the supply chain of Australian companies and government agencies.
Supply Nation offer many services that cover the following:
Connection – Providing the direct business-to-business purchasing link between corporate Australia, Government agencies and Indigenous owned businesses.
Certification – Access to a qualified database of Certified Indigenous business Suppliers for procurement opportunities.
Education – Offering education and training to its members covering topics such as how to embed a successful supplier diversity program into your organisation as well as how to engage with Indigenous business.
“BT is privileged to be working with Supply Nation and its members to promote and connect with Indigenous business partners.” – Ben Hobby, GM BT Conferencing, AMEA.
BT has already been engaging with a number of the Certified Indigenous business Supplier organisations as part of their Reconciliation Action Plan. BT will also be attending the Supply Nation Connect event in Melbourne on 14th and 15th of May and are sponsoring the “Special Recognition” award.
Supply Nation CEO, Charles Prouse, said “We are delighted to welcome BT Conferencing into the Supply Nation network and look forward to working with them to develop their supplier diversity footprint.”
Supply Nation is supported by the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations. Supply Nation plays an important role in closing the gap on Indigenous disadvantage by facilitating growth in Indigenous enterprise.
